Just in time for spooky season, this protein-packed dish is not only fun for the entire family, but absolutely delicious! Quirky cavatappi noodles meet a rich tomato sauce and fun mozzarella “eyeballs” for the ultimate easy Halloween dinner!
Ingredients:
- 1 Package Perky Jerky Wayu Salt and Pepper Beef Jerky
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 2 24oz cans tomato, crushed
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 16oz cavatappi or macaroni pasta
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp oregano
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Mozzarella balls
- Sliced black olives
- Salt and pepper
Directions:
Heat a large Dutch oven or other heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat. Add olive oil and onion, sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute more. Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper and cook until browned and no longer pink. Add paprika, oregano, tomato paste and stir to combine. Add crushed tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add pasta and reduce to a simmer. Cook until pasta is al dente, about 26 minutes stirring occasionally, remove from heat and stir in cheese. Add mozzarella balls, top with thinly sliced black olives and serve immediately.
