This one is a game changer! A high protein recipe great for appetizers, events, meal prep, and especially game day.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag of Original Turkey Jerky (chopped)
  • 1 lb ground pork sausage (can substitute preferred meat)
  • 16 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, freshly grated
  • 3 cups of biscuit mix
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • Red pepper flakes, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350° F and line baking sheet with parchment paper. Whisk together the biscuit mix and spices (salt, red pepper flakes, black pepper). Add the cheddar, ground sausage, and Turkey Jerky pieces together and throughly mix. The mixture should be firm enough to roll into balls. Roll 1-inch balls with your hands and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F for pork or chicken sausage). Remove and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
